It has been estimated that CTE occurs in 20% of professional boxers (Zetterberg et al, 2006). A dower of different aspects go into a successful ordering system, it essential be user friendly/easy to use, have no guardianship issues, robust, longevity within the restaurant and cost effective. 2. Aims and Objectives Aim To create a working version of the E-Menu service. Objectives All objectives follow SMART methodology (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and snip bound) effect a user friendly e-Menu interface, which is quick and easy to navigate through. Usability is fundamental to this system, if the customer doesnt understand how to navigate through the menu to order their food and drink, the system would become useless. So during the project great care will be taken when designing user interfaces, specifically when designing UI layouts nerve-wracking to create a layout that is effective and efficient.Different user interface layouts will go through examination stages, the two layouts that are most suc cessful through testing will be shown to the restaurant we are working with. Customers are able to play Yes This objective is aimed at creating more entertainment interactive games for the customer. However I dont commend this objective is achievable during the project process. 4. Sources of Information and Resources Required. A. List of resources used to meet the scope of the project. Software already own the software, or can gain access to the software at university sites. Adobe Photoshop CS5 Microsoft Word, most of the documentation to do with the project will be written up using the softare. Microsoft PowerPoint, my demonstration will be created on powerpoint. Microsoft Excel, the projects Gantt chart will be made using this software. Java Programming software. Hardware purchase needed hardware Android Tablet Ipad blackberry playbook Microsoft surface (need to acquire a device in the beginning testing stage). Companies Thai restaurant, I will be contacting the restaurant multiple times over the project. I may need to ask the manager a question or even the waiting staff. Visits will be scheduled so time must be made for these meetings. Conceptic People Group of customers at a specific restaurant spoken to. Questionnaire given out to people about the e-Menu system before it is released. Questionnaire given out to customers to gather feedback about the e-Menu system. Extra Any reading material will be collected from Boots library or the Clifton library. If any book is needed online booking will be unloadd early to allow for level best time with the text. Multiple restaurants will be visited to inspect their menus content and design. 5. Project Risks During the length of the project plan many different objectives needs to be completed. These objectives will not always be consecutively completed on time. For example if the E-menu system took longer than expected to programme, it would cause a delay and the next objective after that would be put on hold until work has been caught up.However a resolution for this problem has already been thought about, the time scale of this project already has a built in 2 week contingency back up, which should give adequate time to reso lve the issues at hand. Another unexpected delay to the project would be any personal health issues during the development of the project. By planning in extra time for each task, delays can be kept to a minimum or avoided all together, allowing enough time to complete the project on time. Software packages can occasionally not work or crash/break altogether. If a software package crashed and it was impossible to access the software anywhere else. This may cause a delay in the project, work cant proceed until the problem has been solved or other software package acquired. Resources needed. For the project a 3rd party device will be needed to test the system out on. An Apple iPad or android tablet would work as devices to test the system on. When ordering the devices, delivery needs to be taken into consideration online orders normally come mingled with 1-14 working days (maximum). If the delivery was lost and the product had to be ordered again, this could evolve into another lengt hy delay. University hand-ins. During the course of the project other deadlines will need attention also a clash with deadlines is a possibility. If this was to happen while work on the project could become delayed as workloads add up and less time is available to use. After looking at all these examples of project risks, it is clear that numerous events could potentially put the project at risk. Best way to avoid these risks would be to plan for them. Contingency time has been added to the overall project plan, if needed this added time will allow for any catching up to be done on behind objectives. 6. Evaluation of Professional, Social, Ethical and Legal Issues Schedule 1 to the entropy Protection Act lists 8 different term. All terms need to be followed otherwise you will be breaking the law. The e-Menu system we are creating will have to abide by these laws too, term 5 face-to-face data processed for any purpose or purposes shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for t hat purpose or those purposes (ISO 2012).Our system if used to its maximum capability will have a lot of personal data being sent around, Billing information, credit card numbers etc If in the harm hands this information can be used for dishonest drudgery. Its within the restaurants best interests to create a natural rubber and secure dining experience. Data Protection Act term 2 Personal data shall be obtained only for one or more specified and lawful purposes, and shall not be further processed in any manner incompatible with that purpose or those purposes (ISO 2012). Computer apply Act An Act to make provision for securing calculator material against unauthorised access or modification and for connected purposes (Government 1990) The computer misuse act is another PSEL dilemma that could affect the system. If customers data is not safe it could be used for fraud or other criminal offences. The complex E-menu system will deter any hackers from the system, disaster recovery plan s for the system will be followed if any attack or hack transpired. pic References o Conceptic Interactive Menus. Concern for the Environment Essay

Environment refers to everything that surrounds and influences an organism. Our environment is acquiring worse day by day, and we are suffering for other people and our mistakes. We capability not be able to see all of the bad things in our environment, but they are for sure there. This could affect our families and our future one day. There are some problems affecting the environmental stability, namely- ozone depletion, enhanced greenhouse resultant role, spheric warming, and humor change.First, what is ozone depletion? Ozone depletion is defined as the thinning of the ozone layer, caused by a group of manufactured chemicals called ozone-depleting substances (ODS). Ozone depleting-substances take chlorofluorocarbons, halons, carbon tetrachloride, methyl bromide, hydrobromofluorocarbons, and Bromochloromethane. Chlorofluorocarbons are mostly used in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems. Halons are used historically as waken crushing agents and fire fighting , but now only allowed in very limited situations. Carbon tetrachlorides are limited solvent use in laboratories and chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Methyl bromides are historically used in fumigation, soil treatment, pest control, quarantine, market gardening. Hydrobromofluorocarbons are historically used in fire suppression systems and fire fighting. Bromochloromethanes are historically used in the manufacture of biocides.Second, what is enhanced greenhouse effect? Enhanced greenhouse effect is an increase in the ducking of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that results in more heat being retained and an overall warming of the Earths temperature. Although they make up a small percentage of atmospheric gases, changes in the concentration of greenhouse gases have a huge effect on the balance of natural processes. Burning fossil fuels coal, oil and natural gas releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Cutting down and burning trees also produce a lot of carbon dioxide. Because there are more and more greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, more heat is detain which makes the Earth warmer. This is known as global warming. orbicular warming is the increase of Earths average surface temperature due to effect of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossil fuels or from deforestation, which trap heat that would otherwise deal from Earth. This is a type of greenhouse effect.Climate change is a significant and lasting change in the statistical distribution of weather patterns over periods ranging from decades to millions of years. Global climate change will affect people and the environment in many ways. Some of these impacts, interchangeable stronger hurricanes and severe heat waves, could be life threatening. Others, like spreading weeds, will be less serious. And some effects, like longer growing seasons for crops, might even be good However, as the Earth keeps getting warmer, the negative effects are expected to outweigh th e positive ones. From the previous discussions I have made, we already have known how ozone depletion, enhanced greenhouse effect, global warming, and climate change would affect the environment. I think, if ozone depletion would still continue, the rate of skin cancers, cataracts, genetic changes and inability of human systems to respond to infection, will increase because, much UV rays can now enter the earth. I also think that, if enhanced greenhouse effect would continue to increase, more heat will be trapped in the atmosphere that will result in global warming of the earth. With connection to the enhanced greenhouse effect, if global warming would still continue, sea levels could travel due to the melting of glaciers and polar ice caps, and the current patterns of rainfall could change drastically around the world. With regards to climate change, if it would still continue, many larger cities could experience a significant rise in the number of very hot days. Air pollution probl ems would increase, placing children and elderly people suffering from respiratory problems. Each and everyone of us should be aware of what is happening in our environment. We could reach out to people who dont care about our surroundings and we could change their negative attitudes to positive ones in creating a better place for us to live in. I guess, by becoming more environmentally aware we can minimize the detrimental effect we have on our world by keeping ourselves fully informed about the bad effects of these environmental issues such as- ozone depletion, greenhouse effect, global warming, and climate change.

My parents to started to asked me about college and my plans after high school. I used to tell them later because I didnt want to face the detail that Im growing up. High school is a world where you no longer be treated as a child. This is the time when girls start to wear make up and boys turns into men. My high school life wasnt always fun. I remembered those days that stayed up late to study for exams, tests and quizzes and writing enquiry papers. It was also the time to meet new friends and build a friendship and shared laughter, cried together and had our moments.

Social Needs Affecting The Development Of Skill And Capabilities In Relation To Social Roles And Responsibilities

During the last two decades,a convincing body of evidence has accumulated to indicate that un little children achieve negligible companionable competence by about the age of six years, they confine a high probability of being at risk throughout manners. Hartup suggests that mate relationships contribute a great deal to both social and cognitive development and to the effectiveness with which we function as adults (1992). He states that Indeed, the single best childishness predictor of adult adaptation is not IQ, not school grades, and not classroom behavior but, rather the adequacy with which the child gets along with different children.Children who argon generally disliked, who atomic number 18 aggressive and disruptive, who are unable to sustain close relationships with other children, and who brush asidenot establish a place for themselves in the peer culture are seriously at risk. (Hartup, 1992). The capacity to communicate is the ability and desire to connect with ot hers by exchanging ideas and feelings, both verbally and non-verbally. Most children rent to communicate to get a need met or to establish and maintain inter morselion with a loved adult. The childs ability to communicate is critical in the developmental impact where in when left unattended mickle cause damaging effect evident as the child struggles through adulthood. Children who are unable to communicate may in turn be unable to form close or satisfying relationships with peers and definitely should be of concern to parents and teachers alike. For one thing, these children miss out on opportunities to learn social skills that will be important throughout their lives. (Asher and others 1982). Children who lack ongoing peer involvements excessively may miss opportunities to build a smack of social self-confidence.These children may develop little faith in their avow abilities to achieve interpersonal goals and, consequently, are easily overwhelmed by the normal ups and downs of social interaction. Implications for the childrens succeeding(a) social and professional adjustments are obvious. Problem solving skills are also contributory in the learning process that can affect childs diverse role in his search for answers. By exploring social relationships, manipulating objects, and interacting with people, children are able to formulate ideas, try these ideas out, and accept or reject what they learn.Constructing knowledge by making mistakes is part of the natural process of problem solving. Through exploring, then experimenting, trying out a hypothesis, and finally, solving problems, children make learning personal and meaningful. Piaget states that children fancy only what they discover or invent themselves. It is this discovery within the problem solving process that is the vehicle for childrens learning. This discovery process allows children to construct their own learnings. Most problems nominate more than one solution some problems cannot be solve d. Experiences with these sorts of problems promote learning in young children. (Britz, 1992) Development of lowering moral decision is also a skill which is considered important as our lifes path is determineled or based on what we see as right and wrong. Lawrence Kohlbergs ideas of moral development are based on the premise that at birth, all humans are void of morals, ethics, and honesty. He identified the family as the first source of values and moral development for an individual. He believed that as ones intelligence and ability to interact with others matures, so does ones patterns of moral behavior (Woolfolk, 1993). Environments role in the development of communication skills, problem-solving and making sound good judgment The life of a child can be affected by how he interacts in two different worlds common to him, which is the home and the school. Family Environment Child fostering practices are especially critical. In the terms of family policy dominant in the culture o f North America, children are usually raised in carriages that hike them to become self-reliant and independent.Children are often allowed to act somewhat like equals to their parents. For instance, they are included in making decisions about what type of food and pastime the family will have on a night out. Children are given allowances and small jobs around the house to teach them how to be responsible for themselves. In contrast, children in China are usually encouraged to think and act as a member of their family and to suppress their own wishes when they are in conflict with the need of the family.Independence and self-reliance are viewed as an indication of family failure and are discouraged. It is not surprising that Chinese children traditionally have not been allowed to act as equals to their parents. (ONeal, 2002) The way parents react to external influences is important because they help design the first blueprint for their childrens sense of self through the behavior they model. How they act, feel, and think is crucial, because their children see them as a reflection of the outside world-as a glimpse into what theyll be like when they grow up. Medhus, 2002)It all started with our need to communicate. It is very much zippy in achieving our social need as well as physiological needs.. It has been stated that during infancy when one starts to communicate his need we should be able to respond to it in a by the bye manner for this will definitely affect the childs psychologically, and will then affect his social skills having difficuty to send people. Erik erikson proposed that the concept of trust versus mistrust is present throughout an individuals unblemished life. wherefore if the concept is not addressed, taught and handled properly during infancy (when it is first introduced), the individual may be negatively affected and never fully immerse themselves in the world. For example, a person may hide themselves from the outside world and be u nable to form healthy and long-lasting relationships with others, or even themselves. If an individual does not learn to trust themselves, others and the world around them then they may lose the virtue of expect, which is directly linked to this concept. If a person loses their main belief in hope they will struggle with overcoming hard times and failures in their lives, and may never fully recover from them. This would prevent them from learning and maturing into a fully-developed person if the concept of trust versus mistrust was improperly learned, understood and used in all aspects of their lives. (1950) In order to develop the childs ability to communicate, it should start from person where in he can establish contact easily.A family environment that promotes communication like talking and listening to each other help is essential for him to for the development of his social skills which will hold back how he would interact with the world outside as he grew up. Parents who com municate effectively with their children such children know what to expect from their parents, and once children know what is expected of them, they are more likely to live up to these expectations. They are also more likely to feel secure in their position in the family, and are thus more likely to be cooperative. ( Zolten and Long,1997)Relationships between parents and their children are greatly improved when there is effective communication taking place. They believe that these adults will nurture and cling to them, unless repeated experience teaches them otherwise. When children form secure attachments, their development tends to flourish. Long-term studies show that children who have secure attachments early in life make better social adjustments as they grow up, and do better in school. ( Teo and others, 1996, p. 285) The family evironment should also be a place where growth is allowed and not restricted.Mistakes should not be considered as failure. If this happens the childs geographic expedition will be limited for the fear of comiting mistakes. This will eventually help build up the childs self-esteem. Children with good self-esteem do better in school, act independently but enjoy group interaction, respond appropriately to peer-pressure, take pride in their accomplishments, tolerate frustration, try new tasks, and offer help to others. Therefore one way to help your children have self-esteem is to begin building your own. However, unreasonable parental control or domination being execised as a family environment may inhibit the development of the skills or capabilities of a person. Over centuries, parents have been brainwashed into believing that the best way to raise children is to exert control by using size and experience to their advantage. The basic premise is that, if we choose to twist our childrens arms into becoming the adults we want them to be rather than coach and engage them to making choices for themselves, were setting them up to be like us externally directed.Physical punishment also does much to discourage self-direction. Many parents feel that spankings are vital to raising an obedient child, while others, drowning in the pressures of the day, simply lose control and, in the heat of the moment, fail to see an alternative. Either approach has two misfortunate effects. First, it teaches our children that violence is an acceptable solution to many of their conflicts. Second, it tells children that they are inferior beings who need to be dominated and oppressed. (Medhus, 2002) Classroom environmentResearch on work and home environments has shown that there can be a strong relationship between social settings and rook and long-term emotional well-being. Considering how much time most children spend at school, psycho-social dimensions of schools have sparked the interest of a growing number of researchers concerned with school effectiveness and the emotional well-being of young people. The climate of a school ha s been identified as one of the most important features of a good school. At its best, the school should be a caring, happy and safe environment in which to work and play.Where the melody in a school is uncaring, unsupportive and unrewarding, the mental health, as well as the work of pupils and teachers, can be adversely affected. The impact of this unfriendly melodic line is particularly damaging if it persists for many years. The role of the teacher includes taking care of his/her students psychological welfare. In a school that scores high in this whole step area, teachers and pupils feel valued. Parents are interested and supportive. They believe they have a role in the school and see reasons to give their support. At another level, it is about effective and stark naked communication not only teachers providing appropriate, constructive feedback about the childs work and giving encouragement but also pupils giving confident(p) feedback to other pupils and to the teachers them selves. Through a greater attachment and sense of belonging, the school becomes a place where boys and girls want to be. Promoting small group work in class and ongoing co-operative contact between pupils is central to creating a more child-friendly atmosphere. It can reduce stereotyping and improve relations between children from different social and ethnic groups. When students co-operate, the winners and losers are less obvious and subsequent humiliation for the losers is avoided. Students who participate in class are less likely to feel alienated from school. Alienation brings increased risks to mental and sensual health. Active learning can help students to develop problem solving skills. In research where children have been left alone to play their own games, it has been prove that children naturally develop agreements about egalitarian rules. They themselves see the intrinsic importance of sharing and co-operation, so it is possible to harness some of this potential. Showing boys and girls the value of cooperation encourages co-operative demeanour in situations and places outside the school setting, so that the family and community also benefit. Physical punishment of children in schools is unnecessary and unacceptable for good mental health and sound education. This is a contentious issue because in some cultures violence against students, in the form of corporal punishment, may be legally sanctioned, while in other cultures it may be viewed as a form of child abuse.Corporal punishment is unnecessary because it does not work it suppresses undesirable behaviour for only a short period of time, and creates an atmosphere of fear that is counterproductive to learning. Aggression and deviant behaviour among children in school can, in turn, lead teachers to be fearful about their own personal safety. Harsh treatment of students is associated with high rates of mental health problems including substance abuse later in adulthood. There is growing evidence that class is not only derived from rules, punishment and external control, it is also learned from rewards and encouragement, and from consequences that are fair, firm and clearly communicated. Schools should strive for a school environment with a balance of warmth, positive interest and involvement from adults on the one hand, and the enforcement of firm limits to unacceptable behaviour, on the other. Where limitations and rules are violated, non-hostile, non-physical sanctions should be consistently applied. (Skevington, 1999) Adults at school and home must also act as authority figures in some respects.Having clear, fair rules and applying them consistently, is vital to good order. Children and adolescent themselves often agree that a good reason for having discipline is to make the home and school a safe place and can be encouraged to share the responsibility. It is very important that the environment where we interact with teaches us to communicate for us to ask questions and cla rify things and will eventually come up to think of possible actions towards situations through problem solving skills and end up with a good moral decision that will guide us in dealing with our social roles and responsibilities.

The Changing role of women in Britain since 1900

Target 1 How engageful is acknowledgment A as depict about postures to wards suffragettes in 1908? Explain your answer using seed and familiarity from your studies. The attitudes towards suffragettes in 1908 were mixed everyone had their own opinions of them. Some throng were very supportive on what they were doing and some of them had a very negative response. In source A there is a picture of a suffragette demonstrations in London 1908. Underneath the source the source it states Mrs Emmeline Pankhurst leading a demonstration which 200,00 people be said to drive attended. This source does not give enough evidence to prove this statement. I explain why.In this picture it dooms me the suffragettes having a peaceful demonstration they are smiling and at the same magazine getting what they want to say across, from my knowledge and understanding suffragettes were keep an eye onn as violent and they were seen as a very confrontational group. In the source booklet under The WSPU- th e suffragettes it tells me that In 1903 Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters formed a separatist group called the Womens social and political union (WSPU), that was to campaign for the parliamentary vote for women on the same terms as it was granted to men, or would be in the future, their motto was deeds not words save the photo paints a different picture. In source booklet source 6 under Suffragette tactic it tells me that in 1908 the suffragettes would start occasional attacks on properties such as breaking windows, etc. But yet again from source A I cannot see this. The source also states, 200,000 people are said to have attended From source A it seems to me that at least only 1,000 people attended. In this source I can see only one police gentleman and he looks quite peaceful and undisturbed. If this were a demonstration where 200,000 people are said to have attended there would be hundreds of policemen on sight. This photo is very unreliable to its statement. The source says that Ms Pankhurst lead the campaign yet there is no substantiation to prove this. This is supposed to be a demonstration tho from my understanding a demonstration is 1) an outward showing or palpateing. 2) A public run across or a march for political or moral response. 3) A show of military force. If this was a demonstration you would have seen exactly what they were demonstration from the use of banners and posters or even photos but I cannot see any of this. This photo (source A) is very unreliable and does not give enough evidence to represent that it was a suffragette demonstration in London 1908.This source is not useful evidence about suffragettes in 1908.Target 2 consultation D and E are both from 1910, yet they give different views about the campaign to gain women the vote.Which is the most reliable source for investigating peoples attitudes in 1910 towards the campaign? stock D is an article from the daily sketch ( unusedspaper) in 1910. It is about a demonstration made by women in 1910.This article is anti-suffragette its against women for what they are doing. This article is about a suffragist attack on the House of Commons. The title DISCRACEFUL SCENES, and 120 arrests gives you a dreadful view of the suffragettes. This source is also very negative against women because it puts them down. In the first exit it states they caused even more violent scenes then before. This gives you the impression that they were always violent and aggressive and thats all they were good for. Also in the first modulation it states It was a picture of shameless recklessness. This makes the women look disgraceful and outrageous. In Passage two the first four lines say, One campaigner sprawled in the blow to the obvious disgust of decent men and the obvious delight of others. This gives me the idea that some people found it a revolting and thought they were shameful, but yet some people saw it a something very positive. This source is very negative towards the suffrage ttes and makes them appear violent and shameful. This really affected the way people viewed the suffragettes.Source E is in favour of the suffragettes and are for the vote for women. This source is a postcard issued by the suffragettes in 1910.This postcard shows what a women may be, such as a mayor, a mother a doctor or even a teacher and still not have vote, then goes on to show what a man may be, such as a convict a lunatic, unfit for service or even a drunkard but yet still get the vote. Women were put in a lower category then these types of men Suffragettes saw this as an insult. However I feel that both Source D and Source E are very reliable for investigating peoples attitudes towards the campaign, but I think the most common attitude towards the suffragettes at that time was Source D.Source D gives the most relevant information and is the most reliable source because these were the negative attitudes shown towards the suffragettes at this period of time. The friendship didnt like to see women behaving as men or behaving inappropriately it made them look bad. This source investigates the minority of peoples attitudes towards suffragettes in 1910 but at the same time remains relevant for the investigation of peoples attitudes towards suffragettes in 1910.Target 3 Without the First World War women would have not gained the right to vote in 1918 Do you agree or disagree with this interpretation?I agree with this interpretation.I believe that women would have never gained the vote without the First World War. So numerous men had gone of to war that the women were needed to fill their places this increased the number of women in the industry. The war made it adequate for women to work such jobs. People believed that women shouldnt be prohibited from doing work they are fit for. While the men were sent of to war, women showed how equally they worked to men, the leaders saw this as an opportunity to show what women were undefended of, they showed how capable they were of doing what was seen as a mans jobs. The suffragettes broke the stereotype of how people viewed women, women were seen as housewives, they stayed home and cook and look after the kids. Men also thought that they didnt have the experience or intellect to do a mans job.In Source 27 on the source sheet written by E.S. Montague, Minister of munitions, in 1916 he states thatWomen of every station. have proved themselves able to undertake work that before the war was regarded as solely the province of men. Where is the man now who would deny women the civil rights which she has earned by her hard work?Women were showing themselves how equally skilled they were to men, and that both sexes were equally alike. People started to see the women as people that played a likewise part in society as men and that they deserved the vote. People believed that the women earned their rights through their hard work.In Source 29 on page 68 it also state that Many women had witnessed the suffe ring and anguish of men of men as they had not seen in the previous wars and had also worked side by side with comrades and friends. It was inevitable that this would start to change mutual perceptions of and the granting of the votes at last (to women over thirty) seemed totally appropriate. This gives me the impression that people did see the women working really due to the war and did all they could to gain the vote and the only resort and the most appropriate was to give them the vote.In Source 19 Page 66 we are shown a female tram driver it does not give us a date but it shows it shows us that women were enthusiastically involved in a mans role. This acts helped change the way people viewed suffragettes. Before most people attitudes were biased towards giving women the vote, but after the war people attitudes change andHowever in 1918 the barrier against womens suffrage was broken and a partial victory won, under the Representation of the People Act, women over 30 years of age we re given the parliamentary vote if they were householders, the wives of householders, occupiers of property with an annual rent of 5 or more. About 8.5 million women were put under this new integrity. It was not until ten years later, however, that all women could vote on equal terms with men, at the age of 21 and over, the new bill becoming law on July 2, 1928.

Disadvantages to Patriot Act

Disadvantages to the Patriot act (USAPA) There are six f virtues to the act that was passed into law on October 2sixth, 2001 It takes away civil rights, by doing so it destroys the definition of what it means to be an American Citizen (talkradio101, 2010) . The spirit is that by destroying our way of life is the best way to reward or give victory to the terrorist (topix, 2012) . Secondly, radical protections are violated, the U. S. Constitution is the most lasting, well-written document, and this is why our nation has become the most successful nation (talkradio101, 2010) .People from wholly over the world have migrated here for the freedom of religious practice, now you can be track to your place of worship which violates the 1st Amendment violation), you can be held without trial, without representation or facing the witnesses against them which are violations of the 6th and 7th Amendments. Third is potential for abuse by current administration and future administrations, thi s War on Terror potentially has no end there will not be a give up fire or peace treaty signed to officially end the war like in nation-vs. nation wars (talkradio101, 2010) . This means that the time of danger will never end and that the government will persist in to violate our rights (NPR, 2012) . Fourthly is the act increases the possibility for racial profiling or other means of contrast and harassment, we have many law-abiding loyal Americans who are of Arab decent, have Muslim Beliefs and work in high up profile careers, such as nuclear scientist and biowepons experts (NPR, 2012) .We have come a long way in our many civil rights abuses of the past and something like this could cause a detrimental slip backwards for our nations (talkradio101, 2010) . twenty percent flaw is the use of gathered information by government for non-terror/political purposes, this information could be utilize for blackmail, embarrassment of rivals to further a career or gain the upper hand i n a political race. This information could be used to bring down anyone who would chose to speak out against the country or even someone in political power.Lastly all of the first flaws could lead to the abuse of Muslims and other groups causing a shift in viable sources of information to locate terrorist and possibly creating new terrorist (topix, 2012) (NPR, 2012) . Is Democracy a Better form of Government Essay

Democracy is the best realise of brass simply because no other general anatomy of government is known to work well. Democracy may have its flaws but wholly in all it works very fluidly. Socialism, for example, does not even come close to the best form of government. One asshole easily see this in Greeces current state. Democracy has never led to complete government disorder like one crowd out see Socialism does. Democracy allows us the freedom to choose. The volume of our country is allowed to choose what they feel is best for them. It is not just one person deciding what they ani half-bakedvert is best for everyone else.Democracy will always win out over other forms of government. This process can happen through voting. Right to vote is a human right of every citizen. Political Rights form a distinct category of Human Rights. Right to vote, right to contest at elections and the right to apprehend public office are considered important governmental rights. A democracy seems to be the most static form of government yet. No one person has power. No one ideology is deemed better than another. In a democracy, if something doesnt work, it can and should be changed by the populace. Theocracies, monarchies and socialism all have their downsides.Democracy isnt perfect, but that form of government seems to be the most peaceful, especially in America. What difference does it make to the dead, the orphans and the homeless, whether the mad destruction is wrought under the name of totalitarianism or in the holy name of acquaintance or democracy? ? Mahatma Gandhi Peoples democracy is the lifeblood of socialism. As an important part of the overall reform, political restructuring must be constantly deepened along with economic and social development to adapt to the growing warmth of the people for participation in political affairs.

Biff Loman’s Role in Death of a Salesman

sack Loman may non be the Salesman in Arthur Millers masterpiece, The Death of a Salesman, but he is the main character of the play. The character kn testify as clout Loman is at the root of his immediate familys internal dilemmas and inner conflicts. Biffs essence is what motivates the men in his family to choose the path that they scoop away in life sentence. For this reason, purge when Biff is not present in a particular scene, he is fluid omnipresent because of his invisible pull on the actions and feelings of his family members whom he had impacted finishedout the age.The play finds Biff Loman at age 34, while his younger brother Happy is 32. Growing up, Happy was influenced greatly by his one-time(a) brother. This is common in most young boys, especi every last(predicate)y when they are this close in age. Happy was witness to the arrogant and womanizing behaviors of his elder brother, Biff during their youth. Happy axiom the way Biff behaved during high school and witnessed the tyrannical feedback that he received from both his peers and his initiate as a result of his behavior, which was less than exemplary.Happy saw Biff skate through his teenage years living in this manner. Biff got the attention from their father that Happy had yearned for. The stage was set for Happy to attempt to emulate Biffs womanizing, unscrupulous actions during his own life. Happy became a womanizer on a level which even exceeded Biffs easygoing behavior during his youth. Happy often found himself sleeping with his bosss wives, girlfriends and fiances. He couldnt even understand why he did it.It was simply an instinct which was engrained in him after spending his impressionable years so close to Biff, even sharing a bedroom with him during this time. Willy Loman, himself, was obsessed with his eldest son. During Biffs prime of life, Willy found happiness by living vicariously though his son. Poor Happy was just now noticed by his father who was so wrapped up in Biff. Willy believed that he would find all his dreams that were never realized finally seen through by Biff. He thought Biff would succeed in college and find the successful career that Willy himself was never fortunate enough to have. All of Willys hopes and dreams were wrapped up in this one boy and when Biff failed to live up to them, Willy matte up that failure just as deeply as he felt the let-down of his own unfulfilled life. To make matters worse, even though Willy did not admit it, he knew that he, himself was to blame for Biffs downfall. Willy never pushed Biff to do the dear affaire in life. He chuckled when Biff stole from his football coach and was proud of his son when Biff make his friends clean the familys basement. Biff said to his father, I think Ill have them sweep out the furnace room to which Willy replied, Good work, Biff. (Miller 1192) Willys wife, Linda, had warned him about Biff being rough with the girls and this, too, was shrugged off . Linda said, Hes too rough with the girls, Willy. All the mothers are afraid of him. Willy replied, Shut upTheres null the matter with him . Hes got spirit, personality. (Miller 1195) Willy felt that Biff already possessed all the qualities essential in order to be successful in life, so there was no need to ply guidance to his son or punish his missteps along the way. This was a parenting strategy that Willy would later live to regret. The prevalent of Willys ill-doing was the fact that Biff caught him in a hotel room with a woman with whom he was having an affair. Willy made up ridiculous excuses to cover the fact that this woman was in his hotel room naked. He tells his son, Biff, shes a buyer. Theyre painting her room. She lives down the hall theyre painting. (Miller 1240) Biff saw through to the truth of the matter, though. He yells at his father, saying Dont touch me, you liar (Miller 1241) Biff was so crushed by the realization that his father was not the family man whom he had idol ized that he did not even bother to make up the math course that he had to complete that Summer in order to graduate. This one small action threw away his chances at attending college. The immense guilt that Willy felt as a result of his son discovering his infidelity is at the core of plays plot. This guilt and attempted absolution is what ultimately leads to the death of Willy Loman. Willy is attempting suicide in order to finally make things right with Biff.He wants his first born son to collect twenty thousand dollars from a life policy policy. Willy, who has his own identity so wrapped up in Biff, feels that Biff will become successful with this money and therefore Willys legacy will be one of achievement and success in life. Willy is so convinced of this idea being a reality, that he is willing to throw his earthly life away for a chance at an afterlife view of his own dreams being carried through his son, Biff. This makes Biff the lead character in the play. Bibliography Only the actual play is refererenced in this report.
